Why grade-specific pricing matters

Treating PSA 10 and PSA 9 as the same card is how tracking apps lose real money.

The same card, three very different markets.

A Charizard in PSA 10 does not trade at the same price as the same card in PSA 9 or CGC 9. One grade can sell for 3x another. Flipzi prices each grade as its own series, so your portfolio reflects the actual market — not an average that's wrong in both directions.

PSA 9

CGC 9

Graded card tracking — FAQ

Honest answers about what we track and what we won't.

Which grading services does Flipzi support?
PSA, BGS, and CGC — all live today with grade-specific last-sold prices. Each grade has its own market, so Flipzi prices each separately rather than approximating across grades.
Which exact grades does Flipzi track?
RAW, PSA 8, PSA 9, PSA 10, BGS 9, CGC 8, CGC 9, and CGC 10 — tracked as independent price series per card variant.
How often are graded card prices updated?
Free: daily checks at 00:15 CET. Premium: 2x daily at 00:15 and 12:15 CET. Graded prices update on the same cadence as RAW prices.
What's the source for PSA, BGS, and CGC pricing?
Real last-sold transactions. Cardmarket's avg1 metric in EUR, TCGplayer last-sold in USD, and eBay completed auctions. Not listing prices, not estimates.
Does Flipzi grade cards with AI or computer vision?
No. AI grading is commodity territory and a trust liability — a wrong predicted grade can cost a collector real money. Flipzi's promise is truth about your collection, not speculation. We track prices for grades assigned by the grading companies themselves.
Can I export my graded card collection?
Yes. Premium users export the entire portfolio — including every graded card with its grade, quantity, cost basis, and current grade-specific value — to CSV with one tap.
Are BGS subgrades tracked?
Not currently. Flipzi tracks BGS 9 as a single series. Subgrade-level tracking (such as BGS 9.5 Gem Mint vs BGS 9) is not yet in the catalog.
Does Flipzi support TAG grading?
Not currently. TAG is a newer grading service with limited last-sold data on our supported marketplaces. Flipzi sticks to grades where real last-sold transaction volume is high enough to produce honest pricing.
Can I set price alerts on graded cards?
Yes. Alerts are grade-specific. A PSA 10 Charizard alert is independent of a PSA 9 Charizard alert. The alert fires only when the matching grade's last-sold price crosses your threshold. See price alerts.
