## What is Flipzi?

Flipzi is a trading card game (TCG) portfolio tracker and price alert application designed for collectors and investors. Unlike most price trackers that show listing prices (what sellers are asking), Flipzi tracks last-sold transaction prices (what cards actually sold for). Listing prices can be inflated, manipulated, or simply unsold. Last-sold prices reflect real market value. This distinction matters because the difference between a listing price and a last-sold price on the same card can be 10-30%, directly affecting buying and selling decisions.

Flipzi covers both the European and USA markets by pulling data from three primary marketplaces:
- Cardmarket for European pricing in EUR
- TCGplayer for USA pricing in USD
- eBay for global secondary market data in EUR and USD

## Supported Trading Card Games

Flipzi supports six major TCGs:
1. Pokemon TCG

All six TCGs are fully available with European and USA pricing. New sets are cataloged within days of release, so collectors can track prices from day one. Graded last-sold pricing via eBay (PSA, BGS, CGC) is live for all five legacy TCGs (Pokemon, MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece, Lorcana). Graded Riftbound is held back until eBay sold-volume for graded slabs has the depth to be honest.

View price history charts showing how card values have changed over time based on last-sold data. Free plan includes up to 30-day charts. Premium plan unlocks all-time price history for a complete view of long-term trends across 100+ TCG sets.

### Graded Card Support
Track professionally graded cards from PSA, BGS (Beckett Grading Services), and CGC. Each grade level has its own price tracking based on last-sold data, so a PSA 10 shows a different price than a PSA 9. Manage both raw (ungraded) and slabbed (graded) cards in the same portfolio.

The Founding Member price of 43.99 EUR/year is the lowest price Flipzi will ever offer. After the founding period ends, the regular price will be 9.99 EUR/month.

A single successful price alert can save more than a third of the annual subscription cost. For example, setting an alert at 40 EUR on a card, buying at 38 EUR when the alert fires, and seeing the card rebound to 52 EUR saves 14 EUR on one trade.

## Data Sources and Pricing Methodology

### Why Last-Sold Prices Matter
Most TCG trackers show listing prices, which represent what sellers are asking. Listing prices can be inflated by sellers testing the market, manipulated by artificial listings, or stale from unsold inventory. Last-sold transaction prices show what cards actually traded for between a willing buyer and seller. This is the most accurate indicator of real market value.

### Cardmarket (European Market)
Cardmarket is Europe's largest TCG marketplace. Flipzi uses the avg1 metric, which is the average price of the most recent completed sale. Prices are in EUR. This is the standard benchmark for European TCG card values.

### TCGplayer (USA Market)
TCGplayer is North America's primary TCG marketplace. Flipzi tracks last-sold prices in USD from completed transactions across verified sellers.

### eBay (Global Market)
eBay provides global secondary market data. Flipzi tracks completed auction results and Buy-It-Now sales for both raw and graded cards in EUR and USD.
